3x5 Numbers, Number Words, Negative Numbers, Ordinal Numbers and Ten Frames.

This is specifically designed to be printed on blank 3x5 cards. The advantage of this is that there is no need to cut out each number. Calendar Math supplement so that numbers do not need to be written daily to be placed on a number line.

This set includes numbers (0-100), number words (zero-one hundred), blue ordinal numbers (1st to 25th), red negative numbers (-1 to -20), numbers with ten frames (0 to 20).

Set is meant to be used on number lines, as flash cards and for game playing. Numerous sets can be printed for games such as Number Go Fish, and Number Rummy.

Letter formation matters so students can take notes independently and so others can read what the student has written! This fact is especially true for students with fine motor disabilities and for students who have letter formation difficulties.

Unfortunately, very little time is spent teaching penmanship these days.

This book is meant as a tracing activity center for students to practice writing techniques daily or when they have finished early and you need something to keep them busy while other complete their work.

Directions: Laminate each page. Students trace each letter with a dry erase marker. Students place their marker on the dot and follow the black arrows. Students then trace the red and blue arrows.

(Follow the female figure first then the male...ladies first, is the rule :)

Beginning Sound ABC Book

I just posted a beginning sound ABC Book on Teachers Pay Teachers. It's a collaborative effort by Anne Howie and myself. This would be a great center activity for Pre-K, K, and 1st grade readers as well as for any Special Education Classroom.

Giving to me the first year that I taught Special Education.

They Put a Band-Aid on My Head

They put a Band-Aid on my head
And Said I wasn't well,
They sent me to a special class
To read and write and spell.

I felt as if my brain
Was sick as it could be,
Until I met the teacher
Who changed my life for me.

In this class we talked a lot,
We read, we wrote, we played,
And slowly, oh, so slowly,
The pain began to fade.

When they took the Band-Aid off,
I was shocked to find
There wasn't a bruise or even a scar
No sore of any kind.

Funny Story

2nd Grade SpEd Student in reading class.

The word was "fog"

Student sounds out the word one letter at a time.

ffffuu, starts again, fffuu...oooo, starts again,

Thinks for a minute then says, "fok". Instantly covers his mouth and says, "Ooooh Sorry"

Had to laugh!
